Dr. Lee-Feng Chien


Dr. Lee-Feng Chien has spent a career immersed in innovative industries where he has worked to advance technology and scientific and technological talent. In 2006, he became Google’s first employee in Taiwan when he joined as Managing Director.
Since retiring from Google in 2020, he has actively supported the development of Taiwanese startups, including serving as Board Director of AI pioneers such as Appier, which went public in 2021, and iKala. He also assists the Taiwanese government on initiatives to advance the technology sector, is a mentor to numerous individual entrepreneurs and publishes articles that encourage internationalization and innovative thinking for software startups.
Dr. Chien is a leading expert in Chinese information retrieval and natural language processing technology. He is a former Research Fellow and Deputy Director of the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, and a co-appointed Professor of the Department of Information Management at National Taiwan University, where he earned a PhD in Computer Science in 1991.

Andy Cheng


Andy Cheng is an entrepreneur who started out as one of Google’s first software engineers in Taiwan. During his six years at Google, Andy was the Technology Lead for Google Maps in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia, and later for Google Play. In 2014, he set up Foundi, a virtual assistant service designed to help real estate professionals work more efficiently and improve business results. As of 2022, Foundi holds 50% share of the Taiwanese market.

Caroline Hsu


Caroline Hsu is a rarity in Taiwan’s technology ecosystem as a global-minded specialist in technology PR, integrated marketing communications and branding. A former journalist, over a 25-year career she has played a key role in building Asian startups into international brands as well as driving the growth of global technology companies in Asia-Pacific.Caroline is currently Managing Director of The Hoffman Agency, a specialist technology communications consultancy. Since joining as APAC Managing Director in 2017, she has evolved the company’s offering from a focus on PR to integrated marketing communications and solutions to business problems. This has led to consistent growth and awards.
Before joining The Hoffman Agency, Caroline was CMO of Appier, a Taiwanese AI unicorn that went public in 2021, and before that, Head of Communications for Google Taiwan and Hong Kong. She also led marketing communications at TomTom Asia and Dopod (now HTC Asia), as well as brand communications at BenQ. Her diverse experience means she is able to understand multiple perspectives and apply this directly to achieve business growth.

Louis Lo


Louis Lo is a software engineer who believes that software can change the world and create a better future. His expertise includes software-hardware integration and full stack development. He is also interested in multiple technical areas, such as semiconductor, hardware manufacturing and production, embedded system design, operating system design, back-end service development, communication protocols and application development.
Louis has worked for global companies, such as Alphabet and Realtek Semiconductor Inc. He has worked on the development of numerous game-changing global products, among them Google Maps, Chrome OS, Smart Contact Lens, Fuchsia OS, and network switching system-on-chips.

Victor Shen


Victor Shen is an expert in cloud computing, mobile computing, wireless networking and entrepreneurship. He has been a senior practitioner at companies such as IBM and Alphabet, starting in Asia-Pacific and now Silicon Valley. He is also a Board Director of NCTU’s Spring Foundation, which is designed to foster the development of advanced technologies, serves as a mentor to multiple entrepreneurial communities, and committee member of various government programs supporting innovation and startups.
Victor has direct experience as an entrepreneur. In 2010 he co-founded Ubitus Inc., a cloud gaming software company, and served as its chief technology officer. As such, he was responsible for building the company’s initial technology and setting up its engineering team. Victor is also an early investor in startup companies like Hahow, Carpost, Golface and more.
